Day 9.3: Finally made it to Portland!

Exploring Portland:

Green Dragon - visiting our buddy "Big Al" from the Rogue Brewery:
Green Dragon is named after Boston's Green Dragon - which I assume the bar's namesake has fallen into the Fanueil Hall curse of losing its awesomeness - b/c this place was great!

47 unique "small-ish" brewer's beers on tap

Half the menu...

"Buckman Village Brewery" is Rogue's effort to encourage brewing on a small scale - its the home of the "Portland brewers club" where they are equipped with the set-up Nick & Adam dream of! They meet weekly to review new recipes, tinker with different styles and even share their concoctions with the public...

Cascade Brewery - home of yummy sour beers:

Winter Gose & Beckberry

Autumn Gose & The Vine

Cascade Kriek

Nick's version of planning - 11 different brew pubs along our route - we made it to 6 (across 2 days), I'd say that is a sign of a very successful "beer-cation":

Stay tuned... tomorrow's "Portland pub/brewery crawl" has been planned for weeks, no months...
